Dylan's Story
Dylan is diabetic and on Dec 14, 2009 had complications from a cold and experienced many strokes on his brain stem. Dylan was in a coma for many weeks and is now in rehab. Read the entries below to keep up to date with his progress

Today Dylan looks really rested. His color is good and he has no fever! We started extended physical therapy today, we are now working his toes, feet, ankles, legs, hips and hands :) Dylan is off sedation since about 11:00 this morning and when we were in there around 3:00 p.m. he coughed spontaneously (two times) and then when they were clearing his tube his eyes were fluttering quite a bit. He was even getting them separated a little bit! He is now on chapter 2 of Harry Potter (the first book) Dan and I are reading it to him every day for about a half hour or so. Santa and the Christmas dogs visited this morning and Dyl got his picture taken with santa and got another teddy bear! Dyl's sodium level is now within target (YAY!!!) and his blood sugar is on target too. The nurses/doctors have stopped the sodium drip from his saline drip and are now only giving him sodium through his food. He's doing very well today! i am tom tracy's daghter and i am happy to say that he is doing great.wow time has gone by very fast i am happy hes doing better.thoughts and prayers are in me and my family.good luck!
