Dylan's Story
Dylan is diabetic and on Dec 14, 2009 had complications from a cold and experienced many strokes on his brain stem. Dylan was in a coma for many weeks and is now in rehab. Read the entries below to keep up to date with his progress

Dyl was opening his eyes quite a bit today, the last few days he has been doing that for up to 45 mins. Today they let him do the CPAP trial from 1130am to 9pm, he rocked it!! Yesterday they did the CPAP trial for 4 hours and he did GREAT on that too! He was able to start his p.t. again yesterday too. His surgery sites are healing very well too. On 1/11/10 they will disconnect him from the breathing machine to try him breathing without any help from the machine at all; he will have a trach collar on to keep humid air in his lungs and will be disconnected as long as he is not struggling.
